Overview

This part of DIN ISO/TS 80004 lists terms and definitions related to core terms in the field of nanotechnologies. Specified terms are, amongst others, nanomaterial, nanoscale, nano-object and nanostructured material. It is intended to facilitate communications between organizations and individuals in industry and those who interact with them. The terminology standard is directed at all persons who come into contact with nanomaterials, in particular authorities, manufacturers and users of nanomaterials. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-08-17-01 UA "Terminologie" ("Terminology") at DIN.
