Use of results in research projects? - DIN

The economic feasibility of research projects and effective implementation of their results are of prime importance, especially when they are funded by the public sector. Such projects must be carried out using a holistic approach. DIN has extensive experience in effectively bringing innovative R&D results to the market. We provide a platform for innovative projects that support the development of standards and specifications.

The numerous research projects in which we are involved take place at international as well as national level. Furthermore, DIN is a partner in government funded programmes, such as those supported by the Federal Ministries for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and of Education and Research (BMBF).

DIN is a partner for Europe's "Horizon 2020" programme

Standardization is not only important to R&D in Germany, but in Europe and internationally as well. The European Commission knows this, and is increasingly integrating standardization in public procurement. This is why DIN is actively involved in programmes such as the EU research and innovation funding programme "Horizon 2020".
Our services as a project partner include:

  • Consultation on all questions having to do with standardization
  • Drawing up standards and specifications covering the topics being dealt with in the projects
  • Identifying the potential for standardization on the basis of project results
  • Creating standardization strategies and initiating standardization activities

As early as the research project application stage, DIN gets involved in national and European consortia, ensuring that standardization is given due consideration from the very start.

The following lists current research projects sorted by topic.
