DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing

Overview

This document describes methods for preparing sampling plans and certificates, and taking samples of solid biofuels, for example, from the place where the raw materials grow, from a production plant, from deliveries, for instance, lorry loads, or from stock. It also includes both manual and mechanical methods, and is applicable to solid biofuels with defined properties. When sampling is to be carried out according to the same plan repeatedly or continuously, a full sampling plan is specified; a brief sampling plan is specified for routine use. In the case of a new material or supplier, the existing plan shall be checked and updated or a new full sampling plan shall be developed. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 335 "Solid biofuels", the secretariat of which is held by SIS (Sweden). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-82 AA "Feste Biobrennstoffe" ("Solid biofuels") at NMP.
