Overview
This document specifies a method for determining the content of the humectants glycerol, 1,2-propylene glycol, and sorbitol in tobacco and tobacco products using high performance liquid chromatography. The method is applicable for contents exceeding 0,3 g per 100 g of dry matter. The contents of glucose, fructose, and sucrose in tobacco and tobacco products can be simultaneously determined in accordance with DIN 10371 by using the method described in this standard.
