Die digitale Transformation der Industrie eröffnet auf beiden Seiten des Atlantiks stetig neue Möglichkeiten für den internationalen Handel. Gleichzeitig steigen mit der zunehmenden Digitalisierung aber auch die Sicherheitsrisiken: IT-Sicherheit wird zum entscheidenden Faktor für den Erfolg in der Digitalwirtschaft. Normen, Standards und Normenkonformität können in diesem Umfeld ein höchstmögliches Maß an Transparenz, Information und Kohärenz für Wirtschaftspartner und Kunden sicherstellen.
Das American National Standards Institute (ANSI), DIN und DKE setzen vor diesem Hintergrund ihre langjährige Kooperation fort und richten mit dem U.S.-German Standards Panel erneut eine gemeinsame Konferenz zu Normung und Standardisierung in innovativen Wirtschaftsfeldern aus. Im Mittelpunkt der diesjährigen Veranstaltung unter dem Titel “Securing Future Technologies ? Cybersecurity and other Challenges and Solutions for Smart Manufacturing, Mobility, and Agriculture” steht der transatlantische Austausch zur IT-Sicherheit in den Sektoren Smart Manufacturing, Smart Mobility und Smart Agriculture.
Ziel ist es, mit Wirtschafts- und Regierungsvertretern beider Länder über den Bedarf an Normen und Standards in diesen Bereichen zu diskutieren und gemeinsame Projekte, möglichst auf internationaler Ebene, anzustoßen. Die frühzeitige Verständigung auf gemeinsame Standards in innovativen Gebieten trägt dazu bei, die Märkte zusammenzuführen und nachteilige Effekte, die durch unterschiedliche Rahmenbedingungen entstehen würden, zu vermeiden.
