This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-51 AA "Anforderungen an Schmieröle und sonstige Öle" ("Requirements for lubricating and other oils") of Technical Committee "Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM)" ("Standardization of mineral oils and combustible materials") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies minimum requirements for type C LPX lubricating oils. type C LPX lubricating oils are primarily used for circulation and splash lubrication where, compared to type C LP, the requirements for micro-pitting load-carrying capacity and resistance to ageing are higher.
