Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-09-31 AA "Außenwandbekleidungen, hinterlüftet; Anforderungen; Prüfgrundsätze" ("Cladding for external walls, ventilated at rear; requirements, principles of testing") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document applies to rear-ventilated cladding for external walls with and without background, including anchoring, connection and fixings. This also includes external wall cladding with cladding elements that have special functions, such as energy generation, which use this construction principle. It specifies design, calculation and construction principles for permanent structures.
