Investigations of the raw material in hard-coal-mining - Froth-flotation-analysis
Rohstoffuntersuchungen im Steinkohlenbergbau - Flotationsanalyse
Overview
Flotation analyses were carried out at a very early stage as a basis for investigating the floatability of fine grains and for the planning of operational flotation plants. A variety of laboratory cells and procedures have been used, mostly different depending on the target and user. In hard coal preparation in recent years flotation analyses have also become an integral component of technical agreements within the framework of - the definition of warranties for plant construction and - the delivery and test conditions for the purchase of flotation reagents. It was therefore necessary to establish uniform regulations for the performance of flotation analyses. The standard describes procedures whose results can serve as a basis for operation with good accuracy. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-08-01 AA "Rohstoffuntersuchungen/Steinkohlenaufbereitung" ("Investigations of raw material/coal preparation") at DIN Standards Committee Mining (FABERG).
