DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing

Overview

This document specifies the classification and designation of dense shaped refractory products of defined chemical composition including a) oxide products, b) oxide and non-oxide products, c) non-oxide silicon carbide or carbon-based products. This document (EN ISO 10081-4:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 33 "Refractories" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 187 "Refractory products and materials" the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). This second edition (of ISO) cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 10081-4:2007), of which it constitutes a minor revision. Changes have been made to Tables 7 and 8 and the bibliography has been updated. This document supersedes EN 12475-4:1998. The responsible German body involved in its preparation was Working Committee NA 062-02-57 AA "Ungeformte, dichte geformte und wärmedämmende feuerfeste Erzeugnisse und Werkstoffe" ("Unshaped, dense shaped and insulating refractory products and materials") at the DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
