Abstract
This document specifies the performance characteristics for zinc die casting alloys with and without an intermediate galvanic layer and a subsequently applied conversion layer (passivation without Cr(VI)) with and without post-treatment (TO/ T2 according to DIN EN ISO 19598). This document defines the designations for the specified coating systems and specifies minimum requirements in the test methods described. The performance properties of the systems described are differentiated according to type A and type B. WARNING - The materials, processes and test equipment described in this document may be harmful to health if precautions are not taken. It cannot be assumed that this document covers all safety problems that may occur during use. The user of this document is responsible for taking appropriate safety, health and environmental protection measures before using the standard and for complying with applicable legal regulations.
