Abstract
This document is applicable to the handling of nuclear fuels within nuclear facilities. In addition to the technical plant design, this document defines a framework for measures of an administrative nature for compliance with criticality safety. This document is not applicable to nuclear reactors. There are special requirements for the transportation of nuclear fuels outside nuclear facilities and for protection against the effects of third parties, which are not dealt with in this document.
