Testing of safety glass constructions used in vehicle glazing
The working committee NA 062-03-61 AA "Testing of safety glazing for vehicle glazing" develops test methods for materials for use as automotive safety glazing such as silicate glass products or transparent plastics. The test methods include the determination of mechanical properties, resistance to external influences and optical quality. Furthermore, test methods are developed for additional properties or functions of safety glazing that go beyond the basic requirements of passive safety. Additionally, relevant terminology in this field is defined. The working committee reflects the international standardization work of ISO/TC 22/SC 35/WG 2 "Road vehicles - Lighting and Visibility - Safety Glazing".
