Overview
This standard applies for used refrigerator oils of groups KA with the subgroups KAA and KAB, KB, KC, KD and KE in accordance with DIN 51503-1. The criteria for these used refrigerator oils refer to the use of these oils in open, semi-hermetic and hermetic refrigerant compressors. This standard specifies criteria for assessment of used refrigerator oils by taking into account these criteria. Refrigerator oils containing agents might result in difficulties with respect to the interpretation of individual results. This standard has been prepared by Joint Working Committee NA 044-00-09 GA of the Refrigeration Technology Standards Committee (FNKä), in collaboration with the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP).
