Overview
This standard has been prepared by the Heating and Cooking Equipment Standards Committee (FNH) in order to create a basis to ensure functional and safe appliances for the customers in the still very new, although already sophisticated, decorative appliance technology which produce a flame by using ethanol-based liquid fuel. Particular attention was paid to the preventing upset of the appliance and the unintentional escape of fuel. Furthermore, requirements for the temperature of the external appliance areas, the burning quality and warnings regarding appropriate operation were specified.
