Coordination Offices

DIN's Coordination Offices and Helpdesks specialize in a particular area and consult organizations in the public and private sectors regarding standardization in that area. They also serve as a liaison with the European Commission and with other setters of technical rules, ensuring a smooth exchange of information. These centralized Coordination Offices also coordinate standardization and research activities within DIN in their respective areas. DIN Coordination Offices can also establish ad-hoc groups for drawing up DIN Specifications. However, they do not carry out standards work themselves.
