Overview

This document provides recommendations for the hygienic reprocessing and reuse of reusable plastic packaging used in Germany within the scope of the obligatory offer for sale in accordance with Section 33 of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG). This applies to reusable plastic containers that are filled with food or beverages intended for immediate consumption only at the final distributor. It does not apply to reusable plastic bottles or the hygienic processing of transport packaging. This DIN SPEC has been prepared in accordance with the PAS procedure. DIN SPECs are developed in accordance with the PAS procedure in DIN SPEC consortia and do not necessarily involve all interested parties.
