DIN EN ISO 10848-4
Acoustics - Laboratory measurement of the flanking transmission of airborne and impact sound between adjoining rooms - Part 4: Application to junctions with at least one heavy element (ISO 10848-4:2010); German version EN ISO 10848-4:2010

Title (German)

Akustik - Messung der Flankenübertragung von Luftschall und Trittschall zwischen benachbarten Räumen in Prüfständen - Teil 4: Anwendung auf Stoßstellen mit mindestens einem schweren Bauteil (ISO 10848-4:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 10848-4:2010

Overview

DIN EN ISO 10848-4 specifies measurement methods to be performed in laboratory test facilities designed to characterize the flanking transmission of one or several building components. The measured quantities can be used to compare different products, or to express a requirement, or as input data for prediction methods, such as DIN EN 12354-1 and DIN EN 12354-2. DIN EN ISO 10848-1 refers especially to this part 4 as a standard which supports the frame document. DIN EN ISO 10848-8 applies to a T-junction or an X-junction, where at least one of the elements that form the construction under test is not a light element. A light element is defined in part 1. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-02-31 AA "Schalldämmung und Schallabsorption, Messung und Bewertung" ("Sound reduction and sound absorption; measurement and evaluation") at DIN.
