Abstract
This document specifies a method using gas chromatography with mass selective detector (GC-MSD) for detection and quantification of extractable N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC) and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) in textiles and components/materials of textile products. The method is not applicable for testing polyacrylnitrile, polyurethane und aromatic polyamides (aramide) fibres.
