Abstract
This standard applies to forged load hooks and sheet metal composite hook blocks for cranes and hoists. This standard describes the classification of load hooks according to their load capacity in relation to the strength classes and crane component classes specified in ISO 4301-1. This standard does not apply to cast load hooks; see foreword.
