Abstract

This document, to be used together with EN 1009-1:2020 and EN 1009-5:2020, specifies the safety requirements and their verification for the design and construction of machinery for cleaning, water recycling, mud treatment and sorting (other than screens) for the mechanical processing in quarrying, recycling and processing mineral and by-products. In addition, it specifies the type of information on safe working practices (including residual risks) to be provided by the manufacturer. When requirements of this document are different from those in EN 1009-1:2020, the requirements of this document take precedence over the requirements of EN 1009-1:2020 for machines according to the provisions of this document.
