Safety of packaging machinery - Part 1: General requirements
Abstract
This document provides safety requirements for design and construction of packaging machinery. This document is a Type C standard as defined in the Introduction of EN ISO 12100:2010.The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this standard. For packaging machines not covered by an applicable part, this document can be used as a guide. However, the designer will then need to perform a full risk assessment according to ISO 12100:2010 and design the means for reducing the risks arising from relevant hazards.
