Verfahren zur Kalibrierung von Schwingungs- und Stoßaufnehmern - Teil 21: Schwingungskalibrierung durch Vergleich mit einem Referenzaufnehmer (ISO 16063-21:2003 + Cor. 1:2009 + Amd.1:2016 + Amd.2:2024)

Overview

This part of ISO 16063 deals in detail with the calibration of translational vibration transducers by comparison in the frequency range from 0,4 Hz to 10 kHz. This standard specifies detailed methods in order to make precise and reliable calibration of these devices possible using direct comparison to a standard calibrated by primary methods. Although it mainly describes calibration using direct comparison to a standard calibrated by primary methods, the methods described can be applied between other levels in the calibration hierarchy, thus underscoring their flexibility and broad applicability. This document is specifically designed for users working under laboratory conditions, where the uncertainty of measurement is relatively small; however, it also provides application options for field use, where higher uncertainties may have to be accepted under certain circumstances. The key to the application of this standard is in the careful detailed specification and evaluation of measurement uncertainty; that is, the error budget and computation of expanded uncertainty associated with the measurement of vibration. These aspects ensure that vibration measurements can be performed with a high degree of accuracy and traced back to national or international standards, whether through a secondary, reference, working, or check standard. In addition, this standard also addresses the conditions for calibrations outside the primarily intended frequency range between 0,01 Hz and 30 kHz by specifying additional factors and systems. This document has been prepared by ISO/TC 108 "Mechanical vibration, shock and condition monitoring" with the participation of German experts. The German translation and technical contributions have been provided by Working Committee NA 001-03-02 "Schwingungsmesstechnik" ("Vibration measuring techniques"). This standard is of essential importance for all users required to perform precise and traceable vibration measurements, and it provides comprehensive guidelines and methods for precise and efficient comparative calibration of translational vibration transducers.
