Overview
This document specifies requirements for the implementation quality of calculation methods in software and measures in order to verify them. The principal aim of this document is to ensure that the application of a consistently implementable calculation method using various quality-assured software products with an identical set of input data yields the same results within a defined range of acceptable deviations. This document does not apply to verification of the correctness or accuracy of the calculation method itself; that is, agreement between the calculated results and the results of measurements is not assessed. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 001-02-06 AA "Qualitätsanforderung und Prüfbedingungen schalltechnischer Software für den Immissionsschutz" ("Quality requirements and testing criteria of acoustics software for immission control") DIN/VDI Standards Committee Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering (NALS).
