Overview
DIN 45687-1 specifies requirements for the quality of calculation methods implemented in software and measures for verifying them. Verification of the quality-assured implementation of a calculation method in software can be performed in accordance with DIN 45687-2. Together with the Technical Specifications of the DIN/TS 8998 series of standards and the DIN/TS 8999 series of standards, quality requirements and procedures for quality assurance of acoustic software used for the calculation of sound outdoors are described. As part of the DIN/TS 8999 series of standards, this Technical Specification contains the rule specific supplements with regard to quality assurance for the implementation of the Guidelines for noise protection on roads (RLS-19) in acoustics software in accordance with DIN 45687-1. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 001-02-06 AA "Qualitätsanforderung und Prüfbedingungen schalltechnischer Software für den Immissionsschutz" ("Quality requirements and testing criteria of acoustics software for immission control") DIN/VDI Standards Committee Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering (NALS).
