Concept for the design of 3D models based on properties according to DIN 4000 - Part 89: Adaptive items for tool holders

Title (German)

Konzept für den Aufbau von 3D-Modellen auf Grundlage von Merkmalen nach DIN 4000 - Teil 89: Adapter zur Werkzeugaufnahme

Overview

This standard applies in conjunction with DIN 4003-1 and DIN 4000-89 and specifies the 3D-Modelling for adaptive items for tools and extenders. The coordinate systems are aligned in accordance with DIN 4000-89. Adapters according to DIN 4000-89 are described. The data exchange model includes the geometric elements that are to scale and relevant for collision analysis, as well as the installation coordinate systems. The modeling and level of detail of the 3D CAD models are described on the basis of selected example adapters. The examples show a possible combination of machine-side and workpiece-side mounting. The level of modeling and detail in the 3D models corresponds to the general dimensional characteristics of the items. Details and special features that are not required for use in the process chain for CNC programming, simulation, and the preparation of descriptive documents have been omitted. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-07-02 AA "Aufbau von 3D-Modellen nach DIN 4000" ("Design of 3D models based on properties according to DIN 4000") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
