DIN 4003-77
Concept for the design of 3D models based on properties according to DIN 4000 - Part 77: Inserts, clamped, for grooving, parting and thread machining

Title (German)

Konzept für den Aufbau von 3D-Modellen auf Grundlage von Merkmalen nach DIN 4000 - Teil 77: Schneidkörper, geklemmt, zur Stech- und Gewindebearbeitung

Overview

This standard applies in connection with DIN 4000-77 and DIN 4003-1 and specifies 3D modelling for clamped inserts for grooving, parting and thread machining. In the standard series DIN 4003, clear rules are specified for design of 3D models, independent of CAD/CAM systems. Based on the standard series DIN 4000 and ISO 13399, 3D models with coordination systems and additional parameters are defined with respect to the representation and depth of detailing. These 3D models form the basis for the data exchange, for instance, between suppliers and users and the application in the CAD/CAM process chain. This standard has been prepared by NA 121-07-02 AA "Aufbau von 3D-Modellen nach DIN 4000" ("Design of 3D models based on properties according to DIN 4000").
