Residential solid fuel burning appliances - Part 2-7: Combination appliances fired by wood logs and pellets; German version EN 16510-2-7:2025; Corrigendum 1
Abstract
This Part 2-7 of EN 16510 applies to residential fireplaces that can be operated either batch-fired manually with wood logs or mechanically fed with pellets. These appliances give off heat to the room in which they are installed. If equipped with a boiler, they can also provide hot water and/or central heating. The standard contains the procedures and criteria for assessing the safety, performance, efficiency and emissions of the combination appliances and describes the safety tests when switching from one fuel to another. This standard does not apply to: - Appliances burning wood and pellets simultaneously with a single flue outlet; - appliances with other than automatic pellet feed; - appliances with a combustion chamber and double flue. This part 2-7 of EN 16510 shall be used in conjunction with EN 16510-1.
