Overview
This document applies to multi-purpose pull devices used as a universal tool for pulling loads that are carried on fire-brigade vehicles as firefighting equipment. Whenever possible, standardized tools and items have been used during assembly. This document notes that, provided there is sufficient space and weight capacity, the contents of the boxes may be supplemented as desired. This amendment to the previous edition of DIN 14800-5 from December 2013 has been carried out in order to update the box contents to reflect current standards. The standard differs from DIN 14800-5:2013-12 as follows: - srings added; - requirements for the deflection pulley revised; - curved shape for the shackles added. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-04-09 AA "Sonstige Ausrüstung - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 5" ("Other equipment - mirror committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 5") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
