DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection

Overview

This document specifies the principal dimensions of engineer's and Lineman's pliers and the test values for the pliers in order to verify their aptitude to function in conformity with ISO 5744. Compared to the previous document, additional nominal lengths for engineer's pliers have been added, minimum and maximum lengths for each nominal length have been introduced, and small adjustments have been made according to the Renard series. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 121-05-11 AA "Zangen" "Pliers" at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
