Overview

The DIN 14700 standard series specifies requirements for a consistent CAN interface for components which are used in emergency vehicles of the fire brigade and authorities and organisations with security tasks (BOS) and which are integrated in the vehicle operation and vehicle diagnosis. Part 1 specifies the general requirements for CAN interfaces for components in emergency vehicles. The responsible committee is NA 031-02-02 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical equipment") at DIN.
