Requirements for fire limitation blankets for use with electric vehicles
Abstract
This document specifies requirements for fire limitation blankets used for electric vehicles. Fire limitation blankets are designed to limit the development of a fire and reduce damage, for example by containing the spread of heat, smoke and flames. Fire limitation blankets are primarily intended for use by instructed personnel and are used before a fire starts. Fire limitation blankets according to this document are intended for use on electric vehicles and are not intended for direct use on a removed and opened traction battery.
