PHOTO CONTEST: Back by popular demand!
Last year’s ISO calendar photo contest was a huge success! We received beautiful photos taken by colleagues from ISO members all over the world. Not only was it a fun initiative, it also brought the global ISO family closer. This is why we would like to do it again for the 2016 calendar.
Only 12 talented photographers will make it, and we hope that they will come from YOUR country’s national standards body. So help us spread the word among your colleagues (of course, you can participate too!). I am including all the information below so you can easily share it. Here is also a link to last year’s winning calendar: http://www.iso.org/iso/PUB100357.pdf
As an added bonus, the Member bodies of the winning photographers will receive extra copies of the calendar (same as last year) to share with more of their staff. Good luck to all, we look forward to your photo contributions!
CONTEST message & requirements:
Do you like taking pictures? Then you could be featured in the 2016 ISO calendar by participating in this fun contest.
Who’s eligible?
Any individual working for an ISO member: www.iso.org/isomembers
How it works
You submit a photo that you are proud of, and that makes you think of an ISO standard. Be creative! Last year’s winners might inspire you: http://www.iso.org/iso/PUB100357.pdf
The ISO communications team will make a shortlist of the top most attractive photos and then we will put a selection for people to vote on social media (without names so people can vote solely on the attractiveness of the photo). The top 12 photos chosen by the public will be included in our calendar, and the winners will all get an additional 5 calendars that they can give out as presents.
Deadline to submit a photo: Tuesday 3 November, 2015
Requirements
- 1-2 photos max.
- PHOTO requirements: 300dpi resolution / landscape orientation
- The photo has to have been taken by you, and you must give ISO the right to use the image for this calendar
- Send your photos to lazarte@iso.org (you can use We Transfer or Dropbox for heavy files)
- In your message include: the ISO standard that inspired you, your full name and the member body you work for
If your photo is selected for the calendar, then we will ask you to submit a photo of yourself and a short description. The deadlines are quite tight as we have to have everything printed, so if you are shortlisted, you may want to get this information ready.
Don’t forget, the deadline to submit photos is 3 November, 2015!
