Event technology - Operating equipment - Safety requirements and testing
Abstract
This document applies to operating equipment for machinery and machinery control systems used in places of assembly and in stage and production areas for events and theater productions (stage machinery for short). This document refers to machinery used in event technology, including machinery excluded from the Products and Machinery Regulation ((EU)2023/1230), in particular by Article 1, 2(o); these are "products and machinery for the transportation of performers during artistic performances". The principles in this document also apply to man-machine interfaces of machinery with new technologies or custom-made products that are not specifically named here but function in a similar way or are intended for similar purposes.
