Overview
This standard specifies the wastewater management plan for the inspection and operation of wastewater treatment systems on seagoing vessels. This document provides guidance to responsible ship operators on the safe operation of wastewater systems to ensure sustainable environmental protection in maritime transport, occupational safety, and regulatory compliance. The aim of the document described here is to ensure the safe operation and optimum performance of the onboard wastewater system. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-02-04 AA "Wasserversorgung und -entsorgung" ("Potable water and drainage systems") at DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT).
