Overview
This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology (NSMT), Working Committee NA 132-02-08 AA "Fluidschläuche" ("Hoses for fluids"). Products according to this document are subject to approval; for this refer to VG 95211. The approved components are included in the VG 95212 database (list of approved components). This document is applicable to hose assemblies with hoses made of elastomer that correspond to type 1SN or type 2SN according to DIN EN 853 or that correspond to type SAE 100R1AT or to type SAE 100R16 according to SAE J 517 but with a temperature range application from -40 °C up to max. +150 °C, depending on the medium used. It also applies to other hose assemblies if referred to in the respective technical specifications (for example, Technische Lieferbedingungen [TL]) or procurement documents (such as drawings). This document does not apply to hose assemblies designed for use in aircrafts or flying devices.
