Overview
This document specifies static measurement methods for determining the field of vision of persons operating self-propelled forestry machinery while seated in the operator's position on the machine. The measurement methods described can be applied to the self-propelled forestry machinery covered by DIN EN ISO 11850. It does not apply to measurement of the field of vision of operators who remotely control a machine. DIN EN ISO 11850 describes basic requirements for the field of vision of self-propelled forestry machinery. In addition to the measurement method, this document specifies these requirements in greater detail. The measurement method does not take into account the topography of the landscape, road travel, or vegetation in the working environment.
