About NKT

The DIN Standards Committee Municipal Services (NKT) is responsible for the national standardization in the field of waste management, city cleaning as well as forestry and represents the German interests of standardization at European level (CEN) and International level (ISO).

Standards are developed in consideration of technical and logistical aspects

  • for registration,
  • for collection,
  • for transport,
  • for storage,
  • for handling
  • and treatment

of solid and aqueous waste as well as for road surface cleaning, highway maintenance, winter service and forestry.
