Roller contact tipper vehicles, roller containers – General requirements and marking – Part 2: Roller contact tipper vehicles up to 40 t, roller containers type 1570 made from steel – Amendment 1
Abstract
This document applies to roller contact tipper vehicles (referred to in this document as hooklift vehicles) up to a maximum total mass of 32 t, interchangeable loader devices and roll-off containers. For roller contact tipper vehicles up to a maximum total mass of 40 t Annex E applies additionally. The height of the receiving device is 1570 mm (type 1570). This document specifies: requirements (including acceptance) for hooklift vehicles; requirements for the interchangeable loader device; requirements for the roll-off container. Hooklift vehicles consist of an interchangeable loader device and a chassis, and are used to transport roll-off containers. The interchangeable loader device is used to place roll-off containers onto hooklift vehicles, and to remove and empty such containers. The roll-off containers serve to contain materials. The specifications for interchangeable loader devices and roll-off containers in this document ensure the interchangeability of roll-off containers. This amendment is necessary because the requirements regarding the permissible wear of the clamp diameter are no longer clearly defined since Annex D was changed from a normative annex to an informative annex.
