Industry work chair - Part 2: Safety requirements and test methods
Abstract
This document specifies safety requirements and test methods for height-adjustable swiveling industry work chairs. It is applicable to industrial work chairs used in commercial settings, such as production, assembly, manufacturing, cleanrooms, laboratories, and areas where electrostatic discharge (ESD) poses an increased risk. It is not applicable to standing aids, stools, or chairs used in offices or households. The test requirements in Annex A are based on eight hours of daily use by persons weighing up to 110 kg. Additional loads, masses, and cycles for functional tests are specified in Annex B.
