Furniture - Circularity - Evaluation method for maintenance, repair and refurbishing capability
Abstract
This document provides an evaluation method including a set of criteria for evaluating the ability of priority parts of products to be maintained, repaired and refurbished that lead to an extension of the lifetime of a product. The evaluation criteria are intended to support the user of this document in designing a product which can be easily maintained, repaired and refurbished irrespective of materials or construction methods used. The evaluation method does not consider usefulness and/or cost-effectiveness of the repair and refurbishment. This document does not include requirements. For assessing the overall degree of circularity of furniture products, additional complementary evaluation methods need to be considered.
