Overview
This standard is a detail standard for cables and insulated wires. The responsible committee for the standard is NA 140-00-05 AA "Kabel und Leitungen" ("Cables and wires") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard applies in conjunction with the generic standard VG 95218-2 for heavy tough-rubber cables. They are used in in heavy current installations and for connection of equipment, and are intended for high-duty service in dry and damp rooms, outdoors and explosion hazardous areas. Cables according to this standard are subject to approval in accordance with VG 95211.
