DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering
About NE
The DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE) in Koblenz is responsible for the elaboration of standards and specifications (VG standards) for the defence sector, in the area of electrical and electronic engineering. Furthermore the committee supports the consideration of the special defence requirements in relevant DIN standards and international or European standards. Details are described in the annual contract between the Ministry of Defence and DIN, based on the performance specification of the "Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw)". Outline and course of business of VG standards are described in VG 95820.
Note: The respective standards and specifications should be elaborated interdisciplinary for all departments of the German armed forces. Specific requirements of the marine or aviation sector should be considered in the standards and specifications of the committee as far as possible. If necessary the elaboration of specific standards may be carried out by the DIN Standards Committee Shipbuilding and Marine Technology or the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace.
