Overview
This standard is a product standard for connectors. Committee NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE) is responsible for this standard. This standard is applicable in connection with VG 95319-2 and VG 96971-1 to VG 96971-5 to 1-pole connector with mechanical coupling, pressure-water tight, up to 750 A, up to AC 1 000 V without breaking capacity (COC). Connectors in accordance with this standard are applicable at ambient temperatures of -33 °C to 125 °C; however, reduction of the contact rating according to VG 96971-1, 4.2 shall be taken into consideration.
