Overview
This standard is a product standard for connectors. The responsible committee for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard applies to modular rectangular connectors with four modules and a central locking screw. Connectors according to this standard are subject to type test according to VG 95211. Components conforming to this standard can be used at ambient temperatures ranging from -55 °C to 175 °C.
