Overview
This standard is a product standard for connectors. The responsible committee for the standard is NA 140-00-14-01 UA "Steckverbinder und Steckvorrichtungen" ("Electrical connectors and plug-and-socket devices") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard is applicable in connection with VG 96921-1 and VG 96921-2 to two-pole con-centric connectors to be inserted in electrical systems at voltages up to 50 Volt. Connectors of the Types B to G have one pole connected to the chassis. All connectors can be coupled with connectors according to DIN EN ISO 4165. Components according to this standard are subject to type test; for this refer to VG 95211. Components conforming to this standard are suitable for use at ambient temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +85 °C.
