This document is a product standard in the field of "earthing arrangements". The standards in the VG 96953 series specify requirements for equipment used throughout the German Armed Forces to establish earthing for stationary and mobile systems and devices. Earthing arrangements according to this document are subject to approval in accordance with VG 95211. VG 96953-11 specifies requirements for earth connection studs and earth connection nuts. Subcommittee NA 140-00-17-06 UA "Erdungsmaterial" ("Earthing arrangements") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE) is responsible for this document. The tools that can be used for processing earth connection studs and earth connection nuts are described in VG 96936-28.
