Overview
This standard is applicable in connection with VG 95218-2 to screened cables and insulated wires with or without protective cover used for device wiring and also as components for cables. Cables and insulated wires (Type A to Type F and Type H) according to this standard can also be used outside the systems and devices with a wire protection system. The components are not designed for continuous installation in water. Requirements and regulations which are identical for all types of components are included in the basic standard VG 95218-2. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE), Working Committee NA 140-00-05 AA "Kabel und Leitungen" ("Cables and wires").
