Overview
This standard applies in conjunction with VG 95218-2 to single core insulated wires used for internal system and device wiring and also as components for cables. Wires according to this standard can also be used outside the systems and devices with a wire protection system. The components are not designed for continuous installation in water. Requirements and regulations which are identical for all types of components are included in the basic standard VG 95218-2. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE), Working Committee NA 140-00-05 AA "Kabel und Leitungen" ("Cables and wires").
