Overview
This standard is a basic standard for cable assemblies. This generic standard is applicable to electrical cable and LWL assemblies in combination with the respective detail standard in the following referred to as components. The generic standard specifies the general requirements and provisions. It contains information on unchanging technical requirements and test conditions, namely properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as general procedures, matters of liability, patent law, etcetera. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable to the respective components. Working Committee This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE), Working Committee NA 140-00-04 AA "Konfektionierte elektrische Kabel und Leitungen" ("Assemblies of electrical cables and insulated wires") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE) is responsible for the standard.
