This standard is a product standard for the field of heat shrinkable components. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-02 AA "Wärmeschrumpfende Bauelemente und Isoliermaterialien" ("Heat shrinkable components and insulation material") of DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). This standard applies in connection with VG 95343-2 for feed-throughs with inner coating, which are used as entrance for electrical, electronic and mechanical components. The heat shrinkable feed-throughs without inner coatings according to this standard are subject to type approval according to VG 95211. Heat shrinkable feed-throughs according to this standard can be used at ambient temperatures from -55 °C to 150 °C.
